s2 1969 air filter question
« on: Friday,September 17, 2021, 04:49:22 AM »
Folks, just got an original air filter for my s2, now stuck on hoses location,  the pipe on top  of air filter, where does it go? The hole on top of VALVE COVER I hooked it up to
a pcv valve then into the base of the carb. like old chevy engines,  My thought was it had to go somewhere and I had this open spot on the carb,  maybe I should remove
this added on pcv valve and just put this pipe(from top of air cleaner) with a hose to valve cover,  does this make sense?   no pcv valve? and just block the whole in carb base?
This car was a basket case and had no carb came with it.  so I am learning as I go.  Thanks  MIke.

Here's the factory part's manual entry:

http://www.lotus-europa.com/manuals/s2parts/e/en.htm

Covers both the 1470 and 1565 engines.

You can find some diagrams in the workshop manual here:
