foamy gear oil
« on: Saturday,August 07, 2021, 10:53:53 AM »
i usually check everything before going for a ride today im leaving it in the garage but didn’t use it for a week so i just started the engine let it run like five minutes all seemed ok so i decided to top the liquids
all was good until i opened the transmission plug  usually i check with cold engine but this time i didn’t and when i removed the transmission plug it was foamy and started leaking on the ground usually i put in about 100 to 200 ml cause it leaks a bit and when it’s full the overflowing oil is nice never seen the plug or in the transmission a different texture
i don’t think this is normal i used the same oil
it looks contaminated but how ?
thanks

I would check to see if the transaxle’s breather is clear.  Condensation will build up if it is not.  Clear the breather, change the oil and keep an eye on it.
