Brake Master extension rod measurements
« on: Wednesday,March 08, 2017, 11:46:34 PM »
Hi

I'm hoping someone can help me with measurements of the extension rod please, mines missing so I was going to make one out of some hex bar but I'm after the total length, the size of the hex bar across the flats and also the size of the clevis would be helpful please as these seem readily available on fleabay.

Many thanks
Jerry

Hi Jerry,

If you mean the pushrod between the pedal & master cylinder, this photo might help. If you make an adjustable central section then you've got options to set the pedal height once you get it all assembled. I think I just bought an adjustable pushrod from Ebay and made up the central section from tubing the last time I did the job.

Do you have the front section with the domed end that fits into the m/cylinder piston or are you missing the whole assembly ?

Hi Brian

Many thanks for this thats the dimension I needed, Ive got the domed and threaded rod but missing the centre and clevis so i'll make it adjustable as you said I have some solid bar knocking around I was going to use some hex bar but there seems little point in purchasing that when round will do.
