Now that is a cool photograph, even badged as a "Europe" as well. How on earth did you find that one ?

Off ebay.  I buy anything I can find on the S1s.  Most of it is posted on Jerry's site.  I have everything from original sales literature and press releases to a German soft porn magazine with an S1 article.

Very cool. Great pic indeed.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

I also scour Ebay for period articles and recently managed to get a copy of the magazine carrying the advert from which I bought my own car. Yes, I should have kept the original copy but back in those days I didn't have this hankering for collating such things and once read, magazines went in the bin.   ::)

Anyway, I came across this and wondered have you seen (or got)  this one on Ebay UK ?  It sounds about the right date for a review on an early prototype or road-going S1.

Yup, I have that magazine already. One of the first articles in Car on the Europa uses one of the earlier names being kicked around: the "Concorde".  I just picked up:

- first press release for the roll out of the S2 (54) in England,

- press release for the "GS" Europa conversion

- Italian S2 and Seven brochure, and

- a newspaper proof of an S1 on display at a car show in November of 1967.

All soon(ish) to be up on Jerry's site.

The German "gentleman's" magazine is ER. A temporarily-available cover shot of an issue with an article on the S2 can be found here:

The issue I have is from '67 and is on the S1.
