Thermal cooling and head cooling devices
« on: Tuesday,March 04, 2025, 04:56:07 PM »
I going above and beyond coming up with cooling our engines.
Cooling the thermal energy of the voltage regulator for my 100 amp alternator and my additional pvc cooling for the head . Tell me what you think of these ground breaking devices!

 PS  only joking.

Hold on, is that an AC compressor being driven off the front pulley of a Renault wedge head engine? I've seen JB's and Hachille's off the camshaft, but nothing using the front pulley of the handful of Renault blocks that have them.

Yes it is, and I’m working on a Crossflow version.
I’ll be charging up the system soon and getting it fine tuned .

Nice, I've accumulated a handful of non-pulley wedge-head engine cores at this point, but interested to see what you do with the crossflow. That's the only ICE I would bother to swap in.

I would be more concerned about the wiring, have you installed a fusible link to protect the wire from the 100A alternator to the battery via the ammeter?

 Jerry,
I used the mfg's recommendations of an under-dash unit. It has its own circuit; I believe that I only want the compressor to come on at above 1500 RPM and will be using a GM throttle advance solenoid. Im just fighting time and oil leaks out of the front seal at pulley. turbo gave me the answer to the shaft repair but I just haven't ordered it yet.
 314159td,
I modified the 843 pulley. I'll post pics ASAP but both engines are on my thread 0453r. reassembly.
