Is this the correct rubber boot?
« on: Monday,February 24, 2025, 08:27:13 AM »
Hi all,
Is this rubber boot taken off my '74 TCS the original shape, and if so, does anyone have a Renault part number for it, not that I'm expecting to find too many on the local dealer's shelves.
Or, if not what does the right one look like? I bought one from a UK specialist and it was half the size, very flimsy and the "15mm hole" was about 17mm.
As you might be able to see, mine has a couple of holes in it (now patched with bike 'tube repair patches)

Where is that rubber gaiter located?

Is it near the gearchange rod where the gear selector goes into the back of the gearbox?
