Headlight Covers for 65 and 74 models
« on: Saturday,February 08, 2025, 12:36:03 PM »
Ahoy All,

Thanks to a couple of very helpful Europa owners I have now ascertained that I can make these covers fit other Europas other than the S1 and the S2. However they will only fit correctly if the chrome headlamp ring is removed first.

It also means modifying the mould and enlarging it slightly but before I do this I would like to ask how many owners of 65 and 74 model cars would be interested in a pair of covers?

Also as I do not have access to a 65 or a 74 car I cannot offer the covers pre-cut to fit perfectly. However they are very easy to cut with a good pair of scissors so it is certainly something any owner could do. The same would apply to the brackets. I don't want to offer the covers with brackets if I cannot be sure they will work.

So, what I suggest is this: If owners of 65 and 74 model Europas would like a pair of headlight covers (as the ones in the pictures below fitted to my S2, albeit slightly larger) I can supply a pair to be trimmed and without brackets. They will be 75€ a pair. I am happy to ship these worldwide at the buyer's expense. To ship Internationally from France where I am costs 33€ (ridiculous I know for a 500 gram package but that is what it costs!)

They are made from 0.75mm  PETG plastic and are extremely light in proper Lotus style. Once fitted with just two small brackets they are surprisingly tough and quite rigid.

Please let me know if you are interested and if so, I'll get on with making a new mould to produce the covers.

Thanks in advance. You can email me at benjy342@gmail.com
