Do the Banks Europa door hinge pin rotate in the bobbins mounted in the body?

Yes. They have a hinge pin sized "post" that goes into the bobbin and an angled shoulder that is actually what rides on the bobbin. The advantage to them is that the door can be taken off and when put back on, the only adjustment needed would be the height. I can't say if they are any easier to adjust than the stock hinge setup.

Bryon sent me his method of aligning the doors with Banks hinges:

Quote
Are you doing it with or without the door seals in place?

Really should be done with them removed, since they are pushing against your efforts to push the door into place.

Second…door has to be aligned to the center in the vertical plane first; I used wood shims to get the door set evenly set top to bottom.

Now, when you have the door closed, shimmed vertical, and the hinges “loosely tight” so you can move it in and out but with some resistance…and a helper to push on the door…set the top even with the fender, snug up the top as best you can, same on bottom…then withdraw the pins, remove the door, and  finish tightening displacing the barrel as little as possible.

BDA,
Doesn’t that wear out the bobbin?

I haven't taken my doors off, though it is the plan to do Bryan's alignment procedure to get them fitting properly finally. So far I've had no problems with them at all (installed originally in 1998). A little bit of moly grease would be a good idea - I don't remember if I had thought about that when I installed the doors originally. I don't think it's an issue anyway since the doors are light and wear surface is kind of large (small width round the 1/2" hole in the bobbin).

I did have kind of a funny experience with them though. When I put the "pin" up to the bobbin, it was too big to fit! I thought what the hell is that?! I called Richard about it and he said he sized them with the expectation that the bobbin would be worn (which makes sense since it would be much worse if the pin was too small than too big!). My car had only 10,000 miles on it so I guess they hadn't worn as much as Richard expected. I had to have them turned down a little to fit.
