Cam specs
« on: Wednesday,December 25, 2024, 05:09:01 PM »
I looked up some specs for the cams in my engine (https://www.burtonpower.com/fast-road-camshaft-ford-bda-16v-new-361-272deg-blf7-bda.html). For the record, my cams were set up by my engine builder, Dave Bean (RIP), so I'm confident they're set up properly. I'm just curious what "Timing Figures: 34/58/58/34" refers to.

Inlet starts to open 34deg Before TDC, closes 58deg After BDC
Exhaust starts opening 58deg Before BDC, closes 34deg After TDC

(unless of course too much Christmas celebrating has let me get them the wrong way around ?)

Thanks Brian! That seems to make sense.
