Dino bodied Twin Cam
« on: Tuesday,November 26, 2024, 10:04:46 AM »
Anyone have any info on this 1973 Twin Cam with a Dino GT body? Showed up on the Antique, Vintage, Classic, Rare & Other Vehicles Facebook page. From what I read it is from molds taken off a Dino GT. The fiberglass body was then bonded to the lower portion (pan) of the donor Europa. Someone mentioned reading an article on it some years ago.

I guess my search skills need improving. I did use the search function on this site but did not find this article. I also did a web search and found some references but nothing directly from David. Ta ever so much BDA.

I don't think most people on this forum are aware of the Gallery so you're not alone. I PM'ed the guy who posted those pictures but never heard from him.

I also wouldn't feel bad about not finding it using the search function because I don't believe it searches the Gallery.

I seem to recall an article in an issue of Road & Track back in maybe??? 73 or 4 (Yes I am that old) that the Lotus Europa and Dino 246 GT were the 2 best handling street cars that could be bought of the showroom floor. In stock trim of course!
