S1 demister outlets
« on: Wednesday,November 20, 2024, 01:14:08 PM »
Someone somewhere asked about original S1 demister outlets.  In the vain hope it might have been on this list, here are some photos of a no longer new one:

Myself?  I found some plastic outlets that were “close” and modified them to suit.

I believe Rainer created a file to 3D print these on Thingyverse, search Lotus Europa

Sorry, I have nothing to add here after seeing a rubber hose attached to something.  Hopefully the PO will provide me with some extra bits soon. He found what he could but still hasn't attacked the garage attic.

Correct, they are on Thingiverse and I've asked a friend to print some for me. Happy with the result and I think they will do the job  :)

I've also asked a friend to print me those demister vents from the thingiverse file. Chapman would have loved to 3D print parts: cheap and light.
Many thanks to Rainer who created and uploaded those files in his restoration thread:

3D printed defrost ducts are in place , the left  side needed a bit of bending, the right side was a perfect fit.
I upload all tested designs on thingiverse.

   Thank you Nockenwelle,
I have a friend with a BIG 3D printer, I'll check the site out.
It will be a long time but at least I can check off another piece of the puzzle.
