TCS Rear slave cylinder

Hi all, Having just failed the MOT, If I cannot find the 0.72dia slave cylinder, what difference will using a 0.75"dia cylinder cause?

I assume you mean rear brake cylinders?

0.70" cylinders are available from the usual parts suppliers.

Rear Wheel Cylinder 18mm (.70" bore), Triumph Spitfire 1976 (From FM40001) to 1980 and Triumph GT6 MK3 up to KF20000,  Cross Ref.# 580-090, 64673049 (cylinder casting# 64678251)

I believe the cross reference to a GT-6 is a 1973 mk3 with the self adjusting rear brakes.
The SJS part looks like the correct part.
 
The wheel cylinder accepts the round ratchet wheel which tightens the adjustment of the rear brakes when you pull the hand bake.  The back of the cylinder is machined to accept this wheel. 
The other difference with the tcs is the brake shoes are 1.5" as opposed to 1.25 " for the previous versions of the Europa.  The brake shoes are also from the 1973 GT6.

It is, I fitted one about a month ago to 3089R.

N.B. the rear brakes on the TC are very different from those on a TCS. Different drums, shoes, adjustment and wheel cylinder.

Out of interest - why were you having a MOT done on the car? Peace of mind?

It hadn't had one since 2016, and yes, I know it doesn't require one, but finding it had a seized rear slave cylinder and a broken damper spring, which in itself is a "Do not drive" failure,  although annoying was nice to know and put right.
