fuel pump filter
« on: Saturday,July 06, 2024, 05:51:55 AM »
I've had my Twin cam for a number of years and was just wondering if there is a filter under the glass bowl of the fuel pump. If so, is it advisable to clean it occasionally?
Thanks for any info.

In the mechanical pump, there is a rubber diaphragm that goes up and down with the cam moving the centre of the diaphragm up and down centrally, and non return valves.

I have never seen any filter in the standard mechanical pump.

I have seen filters next to the banjos on Weber 40 DCOEs.

Otherwise I have not seen any fuel filters on the fuel system.

thanks for the info. I'll leave the pump alone.
