Thanks in advance

On my Special, both seats are the same, with the adjuster on the right side of the seat. That is to say, the driver's seat has the adjuster next to the console, the passenger seat has the adjuster next to the door (Federal car). No idea if this is true for an S2.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

 Thanks Trevor,
Yes it is the same, both seats have the adjustable handle on the right .
I guess I could have checked first , but my dog was sleeping on one 😂 and they are in separate rooms in the house.
My wife will be very happy to get them out .

Does the passenger really need to ever adjust the seat? What for? I am thinking of making mine one position (mainly because I can probably only create one good set of tracks out of the pair).
The more I do the more I find I need to do....remember your ABC’s …anything but chinesium!

I would think that any passenger would comfortable with the seat all the way back unless he just has to put his feet against something and he's short. Then I'd tell him to stop complaining and enjoy the ride!  ;)

  Good point Turbo.
BDA the only reason for my ac is because of my wife. She knows when she comfortable and will touch every switch there is, so I’ll put a thermostat on her side to play with.
As for fit , I just laid a seat in and sat in my car, first time in 30 years.  Pedals are tight but I never complain just learn what not to do.
Trust me, I’m happy to be at this point.

Those look like tennis shoes, D’man… you need to try to find some narrower shoes. Maybe consider trimming the brake pedal.

I once drove my tcs with regular tennis shoes.  My foot got stuck between the gas and brake pedals with the accelerator stuck.  It was exciting for a few seconds.
You definitely need a pair of narrow driving shoes.
Enjoy.

I like the Piloti shoes.  Also bought a set, way back when, of male ballet slippers, which worked well.  Standard racing shoes (Sparco, etc) work well too.  Actually found the TC (with its 1" wider footwell) is ok with deck shoes.  Anything with a narrow welt (that stitched seam that attaches the sole to the upper) should work, though if you're wider than a "D" width, some mechanical adjustment of the pedal position will probably be necessary...

Things like these Pumas here are pretty good, and often cheap:
https://www.amazon.com/PUMA-Redon-Bungee-Sneakers-Casual/dp/B0BT72M7PM/ref=asc_df_B0BT72M7PM/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=650254390455&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10737889279465092030&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9007218&hvtargid=pla-1967642197579&psc=1&mcid=92c1aef4d20a38028dd090654ab9eaa8

I wear a 12A, which is big but narrow. I'm unsure exactly which model of puma I have, but the width is exactly right for me and they just barely fit between the brake pedal and the central tunnel in the car.  I can't really imagine finding another shoe that's actually my size that would be any narrower though.

You can do a Google search for puma driving shoes and you'll see all kinds of options. I think they're mainly targeting the boy racer market.

I have them too. I recommend them. Puma says to order 1/2 size larger which worked perfectly for me.

They always have them at their outlet stores.  It's hit or miss.  Sometimes with BMW or Ferrari logos; sometimes very cheap.

One think extra thing I came across in my voluminous notes of restoration of these buggies...when you go to put the tunnel carpet back in, cut the padding on the pedal end of the tunnel short (you want it about a half inch shorter than where the rubber pad on the tunnel carpet to make a nice transition) so you're gluing the carpet directly to the fiberglass rather than on top of the padding.  The extra 1/4" or so in space makes a difference (well, it did for me) and is unnoticeable by even really picky car show judges (unless it's a Lotus-specific show).  Just something I did, and may help you.
