So what is useful for Europa spares from them other than engine and transmission gears/cases?
I know the diff is wrong.

Rad fan, though I wouldn't use one myself as it is rather anemic.  Depending on the model of R16, door latches may be useful for S1 and early S2 owners.

So I now have proof that an R16 less the engine and trans is worth $0.00 as a car.
Hopefully a little more as scrap.

Is there an enterprising high school shop class near you that wants to make an electric car? You’d get tax credit, anyway.

Without a transaxle probably difficult even if such interest existed.
The three-lug wheels put a lot of people off of them too.
