Shifter cables....#$%!
« on: Wednesday,April 12, 2023, 03:50:05 PM »
I placed my first order ever with Pegasus for my 6" longer shifter cable I needed... website said they were so smooth people use them for throttle cables...
Mine arrived yesterday...not so smooth ...kinda notchy feeling...called today and the guy walked into warehouse and said they all feel that way...not impressed...  >:(

The cables I ordered from Jeg's are far smoother, made in USA and about $30  cheaper a piece ... if only they made them in 6" increments instead of 12
The more I do the more I find I need to do....remember your ABC’s …anything but chinesium!

I use Cablecraft cables (https://cablecraft.com/home/control-cables/cablecraft-motion-control-cables-overview/). They are very flexible and smooth. I use a 3/16” cable for my throttle and 1/4” for my clutch. I think you can specify the exact length and anchoring method for each end.

I used a local truck shop: any length you want and butter smooth.
