50th S2 on Facebook
« on: Thursday,March 16, 2023, 12:50:34 PM »
This one popped up on Obscure Cars in the bookface:  https://www.facebook.com/commerce/listing/882508202859974/?media_id=1&ref=share_attachment

The seller sent me the VIN and it's car 701, so the 50th S2, it needs lots of work but does have a Hermes DCOE set up on it.  The title needs some sorting, but I dont think it's a big deal.

Somebody buying this in the US would get quite a deal since the Canuckland dollar is only ~$0.73 to the US dollar or about $18,000 plus frieght

Got a chuckle over "rare dealer option cosmic wheels", meaning some car dealer somewhere decided to offer one of the several possible Triumph Spitfire wheels any owner could buy elsewhere if they wanted to, but nothing "sanctioned" by Lotus. Creative things people come up with to hawk their wares.

Agree on the dealer option comment but Cosmic made a specific rim to suit the Europa.
