It does look like a great project with a lot of good parts (spares?).

For that kind of money the extra parts and F/B block & crank may be worth close to the total asking price alone. The few odd and ends, glass and windshield seem to be some of the major hurdles to finish.

I would put the paint on hold, get it running and address the assembly first. Then, after it's sorted put a vinyl wrap to make it more presentable.

If I had the space....5k is a bargain.

Strangely enough I thought of Chuck when I saw the price, and that all the spares.

I was thinking to myself "I don't have a green one yet" and then I remembered that I do.... Its better that it went to someone else :)

I'm up to 11... I recently found a deal I couldn't pass up on another Eclat and Elite...

I am a Mk14 Elite, 7, and +2 away from having every Chapman era car.... the stuff dreams are made of :)

Very cool, Chuck! The Elite is going to be the tough one, I think. Then with your penchant for making your own parts, it might be some time before you drive them!  :FUNNY:

Out of curiosity, would you accept a Caterham in place of a Lotus 7?

Sure! It's close enough :) It would be best if it was in 1000 pieces and needing total restoration.

Speaking of making parts I am getting closer on my rear brake brackets. I redesigned the TCS brackets to work for S1/S2. I should have my order of 9 windshields in with the rest of the S2 parts at the end of the month. Then I will be able to get it on the road so I can test it out. Slow going over here but it is getting there! I can't wait to get the foundry going to do some casting!!

Are those the calipers Serge recommended?
When I contacted Wilwood they would not sell them directly.
Summit Racing never got back to me.
So I am trying to fit VW Scirocco calipers.
Not a Turbo car so probably sufficient.
