Florida Living, Not Again 🥱
« on: Tuesday,November 08, 2022, 05:09:22 AM »
Okay , Florida is a great place to live until you get these storms.
Some people are still cleaning up after Ian that hit the west coast , now the east coast is being targeted.  More rain is not needed right now for many residents.
Looks like it’s going to be a direct hit here at the cape or slightly south in Melbourne. Luckily it’s not a major storm .
Hopefully all of our members here will stay safe as possible.
Time to get prepared,.. again. An ounce of prevention…,

Batten down the hatches, D'man.
We've also had plenty of rain and floods recently. Luckily I'm south of the main cyclone regions.

Stay safe D'man and all your Floridian Europa owners!

Gavin, you can relax. You won't need to mow today!  ;D

  Lol, Gavin
That looks like the salvage yards down here where I need to get some supplies.

BDA, Thanks for your well wishes. I’ll keep you updated.

Winds picking up with gust to 60 mph one car in street away from trees.  I wish these things would hit land during the day. Tornadoes in the dark are scary especially when your asleep.

Tornadoes are one of the things that make hurricanes unpredictable. I’ve been through some big storms, including Camille, and the worst hurricane for me was a minimal hurricane that spawned a bunch of tornadoes.

This is of course the early morning part I hate most. You can’t see anything and all you do is hear thing blowing around.

  :beerchug:    All good here.

With only the exception for not having power for 12 hours. Had to break out the generator, It didn't seem as much fun this time,
 I must be getting old.

  Thanks Guys,  family all safe.
just finished cleaning up the neighborhood. Its hard work being the youngest on your block. My one neighbor for 30 years sold his house and is moving to Montana on the 17th. this was there going away present. All their stuff is packed up and sold at garage sales so to work I went.
One of our close friends has a house on the beach, some water in house but structurally intact.

Glad you and your neighbors did alright. I saw some really sad pictures were the soil (sand?) was washed away from the front of some beachfront homes. :(
