If you're interested, I'll make some for you if you buy (pay for) the materials and shipping. I made some forms for my screens.

BDA, Give me an estimated cost for two sets of the rear grills, I'm interested in getting your grills.

Hey Joji,

I just noticed that the guy on ebay makes his from aluminum. I made mine from stainless steel. I got my screen from Pegasus and it turns out that they don't seem to list aluminum screen! Not a big deal but but I thought I'd point that out.

The ones I have were made with #10 x 0.025" wire (10 openings/inch. they also list #6 x 0.035" wire which is actually a little less expensive but only by about $0.50 or $1 per grille. (https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=3640)

Taking the #10 as an example, I would need two pieces of 18" x 24" screen at $20.79 each. Shipping to me is $14.85.

The smallest USPS flat rate box that works is 14" x 12" (actually that's a little snug) ships for $17.05

2 x $20.79 = $56.43 + $17.05 = $73.48

That should be pretty close.

If you're still interested, let me know which size screen you want and email me your address.

Jim,
One set would be half that price?

Roughly. My calculations for Joji were not complete - eg. I forgot to include taxes I'd have to pay but I don't anticipate much change after that. Let me know if you're interested in a set and I'll work up a price.

I've been getting people asking me for grilles, which is fine. I'm honored that people like them! This is not a business for me so I don't have screens to make them on hand, I have to order it on line. When one person orders a pair and I order screen for his grilles and then another person orders another pair and I order some more screen, my shipping costs are huge (I just got my first shipment of screen and you would not believe the size of the box they sent it to me in!) and that will obviously impact the final cost. I don't plan on making money on these so the less I have to pay, the less you have to pay.

Currently, I have orders from Joji, Dan, Kraig, and Bryan.

Before I order any more screen, I'd like to try to make sure I don't have any more orders.

If you are interested in 3D stainless steel boot grilles for your TC, please let me know now.

I'm glad you like them! Actually, I already had a picture! I can't say it's the neatest job but I can say I'm glad it's not something most people notice! As I remember, I did it with the boot lid still attached to the car. It would be a lot easier to do neatly if the boot lid were off the car.

I used silicone glue that I believe I got at Lowes. It comes in a regular sized caulk tube. I don't know if it comes in colors. If so, black might have been better. As I remember, I put the goo on the boot lid but I think it might have been better to put it on the screen instead but whatever allows you to accurately squirt the goo would be best.

I also received a set from BDA for my TC and they do look great.
I already sent a note of thanks to BDA and one question I still had was how to affix to the cover.
Thanks to Turbo for getting the answer for me.

Thanks again to BDA for the grills.
