Totally agree, Richard. Some hoping this is a hidden gold mine just waiting to be discovered. But honestly there's a much broader market for Porsche, including Saturday country club golf course crowd who don't know what a cam follower or a DCOE is. I'd rather Europas not go that price direction. More Europas go up in price, the more potential parts donor cars switch course to become restoration projects, then no longer add to parts supply but instead want to buy them. Both drive up and dry up the used parts supply.
My car has never been about what it it worth in dollars, but what its worth to me in driving satisfaction. So zero desire to pay more for insurance on a car I'm not selling. I think that is the majority of Europa owners. But doesn't keep some from imagining they see big $ or £ signs in their dreams, and hope to cash in.
