Amen! An amazing woman goes home. She was the last of a breed and will be missed.

Strange though it sounds considering her age, I was a bit surprised at the news. Then with a bit more hindsight I realised she's not been the same since Philip died, she's done stuff but looking back it's not been the same. Understandable really.

I'm not a Royalist by any means but I did like her and Philip, they were both real personalities but sadly worlds apart from those following her. Liz came through some tough times and I doubt the next generation would cope half as well. Even today she really was/is popular and to keep that up for 70+yrs is some going.

She has been there since many of us where born. Sad loss.  Her touch was across the whole world.

I read that 90% of the world was born after she became queen. Queen of the world? The next couple of generations won't be the same.

I had to drive to London yesterday on business.

All the electronic advertising boards by bus stops and on the pavements had the same photo of the Queen. A huge number of London black caps lined the Mall, the road leading to Buckingham Palace.

Lots of flags at half mast.

All very moving and a fitting tribute to E II R.

I served in the Armed Forces and it was an honour to have made my oath of allegiance to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II,

Sadly her reign will never be equalled.

RIP
