WTB S1 push button door lock set

Hello all! I was wondering if any of y'all had any info on who may remanufacture S1 style push button door locks. I haven't had much luck searching the internet and was hoping perhaps someone knew of a company I'd neglected to look into. Kelvedon Lotus Ltd and Banks don't seem to have any offerings for S1 locks as far as I can tell. If new lock assemblies are impossible to fins does anyone know of a comparable part from another make and model that may work? I know Lotus liked to raid parts bins for the little misc. bits and pieces...

If all else fails does anyone maybe have set of S1 locks they're willing to part with?

No repops out there that I know of.  You can use ones from a Renault 16, 15, 17 and maybe more.

That's quite a bummer there don't seem to be an repros. I'll begin looking into the Renault parts then!

Only 800 or so cars used the push button door latches.  And, it is only recently that the S1 has generated interest.  Every book you read will say to avoid S1s over the later cars.  It was also common to toss the S1 doors and fit S2 ones for their opening windows.  There also used to be tons of scrap Renaults you could source the parts from.  Now they are becoming rare as well.

I found spares by searching ebay.fr using the French part names.

Well that makes sense as to why replacement parts are so hard to find. It seems that, just like my situation with the 1st gen RX7s, that my youth making me so late to the party has created some availability headaches!  :'( C'est la vie! I'll figure something out. I have the the latching mechanisms intact on both of my doors, but the keyed buttons themselves aren't correct. The passenger door just has a button with no key at all and its recessed so far into the door its almost impossible to press!!

Maybe Ill reach out to Banks and see if they have any ideas for suitable replacements while I look on the internet for Renault locks

Renault 16 shop list the right and left door push buttons in their body section (fourth page).  They also list matching lock cylinder sets.  They don’t seem to have the lock bobbin.  Look up the Renault part numbers and search and enquire using those.  You will never find anything using Lotus numbers for Renault parts.
