Wink mirror
« on: Saturday,August 20, 2022, 09:52:12 AM »
I only have driver side mirror a Sebring I’m reading up on mirrors and I saw a wink mirror seems like a good option I started doing lapping but I have some blind spots for now I’m a beginner and we’re allowed to pass only on straights only one passing zone but I need to see all around as I progress so any advice would be appreciated thanks

I used a 5 panel Wink in a track only 240Z, no passenger mirror. A Wink might be hard to install in a Europa. On my no track use ever Europa, I have convex driver and passenger mirrors. I can see everything two lanes over both side and zero blind spots. Sebrings look period correct but lack the size really needed.  If you go with a passenger mirror, don't use a flat glass one. It will be worthless, especially on a track car. I run the Club GT plastic mirror from here. http://www.racemirrors.net/ClubInternational.html

I think I have seen a wink mirror in a Europa. After installing one,  you will no longer have visors if that's important to you.

I don't have my visors installed because I'm high enough in the car that they would be useless but I kept my visor mounts in case I ever got a wink mirror.

I have to say, I'm not terribly motivated to try one. I see pretty well with my Vitaloni Baby Turbo style mirrors and a clip on convex mirror on the interior mirror.

I use convex both sides for wider coverage.  Helps a great deal with the driver's side blind spot.

The original Sebring mirror on the passenger’s side were for decoration (admitted by people at the Lotus distributor where I got my car) and as I remember, adequate on the driver’s side. I’m not sure what you mean by “stem.”

They seem to have been mounted with a standoff spacer, rather than the versions that have a swivel foot (they would be further away from the mounting surface). I've fitted the Ebay version of vitaloni california mirrors which have convex glass and these seem much better to me.

I thought califkid was referring to the Club International mirrors Clifton linked to. They appear to show mounting stems in two styles, angled and straight.

I run Club International mirrors and have the angles stems.  I have convex both sides and love 'em!

Yes ! My question was for the club international mirrors the original are useless
So it’s gonna be club international angled stems with convex mirrors that should take care of the blind spots I also have the windscreen mirror inside so that should be good
