:Welcome: Great looking Europa! More pictures please. The front battery is a head scratchier. When I acquired my previously unloved S2 she had lived a lot of her life outside. Wiring had a great amount of corrosion. I decided to replace the whole wiring harness with one from Autosparks UK. Fewer headaches. 99 percent correct. Fewer releases of Lucas wire smoke. We are all looking forward to your restoration journey.

My TCS came to me with the battery up front, probably a misguided attempt at balancing weight distribution. I had serious problems with grounding. Starting was very difficult. There were many feet of heavy 6AWG wiring added to complete the circuits. And finally, the battery was working pretty hard at pounding its way through the fiberglass floor to make a getaway. About 1/4 of its perimeter was cracked through the floor. I had it moved to the stock location when I had the frame replaced (DPO damaged the frame in an accident). Now the electrics work much better. And if I want to, I’ll be able to add a spare tire in the stock location.

Re-siting the battery back to stock might be the go as the starter is struggling and the cable gets quite warm.... perfect for those winter mornings...  ;)

Just to say it drives....... :BEER3:
Not perfect but gears are quite findable, after gear linkage and dedent repairs, and a rewire with new dash. A good start to improve on. Engine appears good, brakes good, handles well. One happy chappie..!
