336 output shaft oil seal

is there a way to know what size seal i need without removing the nut
reason is im ordering the oil seals and i don’t have the tool to remove them yet

Would you share the process you used to make the wrench for the nut.  I'm hesitant to spend $126 for the one at RD.

Joji recommended a motorcycle clutch tool to me (https://www.ebay.com/itm/354390198069). It works very well. I've also bought a PVC pipe cap that looks like it can be modified easily but the clutch tool works well enough that I haven't been sufficiently motivated to do it.

A regular W1270 (I think that is right) socket for a 4WD works fine

A made the tool out of pvc pipe with a clean plug on the other end to turn the tool.  Pretty simple to make, center pipe over flange and mark each rib.  Used a dremel to cut out for each rib.  Worked perfectly but didn’t fit the NG3 flange nut.     So bought the W1270 socket and it fits both flange nuts.

BDA, the clutch tool your suggesting looks like it would damage the nut but, knowing you, it must work well.

Print this out and fabricobble one from some PVC plumbing pipe?
I can add more concentric circles to make it a little easier to find the centre if you like.

Sorry for the late response
I just took a pipe big enough to fit where the slots are leaned the pipe against the slots and with a marker I made lines on the pipe where the slots were
after I drilled on the line’s with a drill bit a bit wider than the slots and when I drilled i didn’t drill completely at the end I left a quarter inch made it easy to drill then I cut of the end of the pipe right in the middle of the holes didn’t take much time to make
A friend of mine told me someone used a pcv pipe heated it up pushed it against the nut to get the shape and when it cooled down he used it to unscrew the nut

The socket I mentioned earlier works fine, costs about $12 and also fits the lock ring that holds the sending unit in the gas tank ….
