One down, one to go.
« on: Sunday,June 12, 2022, 02:31:51 PM »
All the fasteners came in from Aircraft Spruce...so was able to finish the first seat with the lotus-supplies.com upholstery kit.  Changed it up from the Ambla trim to perforated basketweave for the center cushions to provide some ventilation.  Think it came out ok.

Next...driver side.

That looks great, a very professional job. And a great advertisement for the Lotus Supplies kit.

We call them the usual suspects, right?  Suppliers to a niche market (like, how many of these little beasts are still turning a wheel 50 or more years on?).  Not like  selling replacement parts for VeeDubs or Beemers (let alone performance bits).  We (using the inclusive term) may have no 'financial interest', per se, but trying to keep our wheels turning, it's good to know that the suppliers that ARE out there are doing their best to feed our particular habit.  And deserve to be called out when they do good...as well as when they mess up (but, I've found that the suppliers, knowing of the close-knit nature of this marque, are usually more than willing to try and make things right if they are given the opportunity to do so...)
