Still can not get the (*%$$#@ Strombergs on my twink to do what they're supposed to do. Needless to say...that's really torquing me a bit.
So...anyone in the SE MA/RI/BOS south shore area that anyone know of that you'd trust to work on a twink (I've run out of both ideas and skill, so not afraid to admit when I'm stumped and call in an expert) to get the engine working properly.
I THINK I've set everything up: needles, new gaskets, new floats (set for 11/16" per the manual), new o-rings, new viton o-rings on the base, thackerys set properly (I think?), carbs flushed out with carb cleaner, idle screws initially set at 1.5 turns in from where they just contact the throttle lever...etc. Over and over. Not frustrated...but I'm at a loss as to where to go next, so figure if there is someone who is more intimate with Stromberg fun and games (give me a Solex or Weber anyday...) than I am...I'm all ears (and will stick the thing on a trailer and bring it there...
Thoughts welcome!
