Or at least it's formatted and displayed very neatly on my PC. (Firefox browser, XP, if that makes any difference)

Joe, the format and display also looks ok with a Mac using Safari 5.1.10, if that is any help
 

BTW, what were the main information sources used to develop the table?

Looks good, Joe, and thanks for posting. I've seen other tables but I like the simple way this one is laid out.

I've been reading a lot of books and articals lately on Lotus history and the 'goings on' in the first couple of decades. I can't imagine just how busy and chaotic things must have been in those days. Many world class projects going on, being concieved, designed, engineered, built, and campaigned by such a small and underfunded group. Going through the table really brings this fact to light. Amazing and impressive stuff.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

That would make a total production of 9033 Lotus Europas (race cars included). Another list at your website says 9887 Europas were produced. I read in a book about 9230. Does anybody know, which number is (approximately) most accurate?

I'm not sure Lotus knows how many cars they produced.  :confused: I complied my figures from a contact at the factory back in sometime around 1999.

I've seen the 9230 figure as well, it's quoted in the Paul Robinshaw & Dave Francis book on the Europa, but they don't claim it to be the definitive figure. From their research they say that it came from Lotus in an Oct. 1986 press release and was also quoted in a book on the Elan & Europa by John Bolster in 1980. They go on to quote a 1982 book from Chris Harvey which claims 8795 Europas in total to confuse the plot even more !

I'd bet the confusion comes from the early days of production, prototypes, race cars and demo cars getting written off/re-bodied, etc. The only thing I think we can safely assume is that there's fewer around now than in the 70's ?
