Parting out Twin Cam Special racecar
« on: Sunday,August 08, 2021, 05:12:39 PM »
1972 TCS with VRG logbook from 2015.  Significant front end damage.  Will sell complete car (less engine) or will part out.  Custom cage, twin fuel cells (fully aeroquipped with pump and regulator), race dashboard, complete rear corners, custom overhung twin MC brake pedal assembly with balance bar and titanium accelerator, NG3 trans, headers and exhaust (straight and muffled), full dry sump plumbing, fire system, aluminum double adjustable rear shocks, cosmic wheels, rear glass, tail light assemblies, all the bits and pieces.  This was one of the fastest Europas in the northeast.  I built it the first time, but I don't have time to rebuild.  Somebody needs to keep it alive. Car is in Pittsburgh, PA.

Tom,
I've been looking for a set of Cosmics for some time now...
If you plan to part it out, the wheels may have found a new home.

Post some pics or PM me. Thanks,ld

Hi Tom, If you part the car, I'd be interested in the fire system, headers/ exhaust, shift system, and the rear hoop/ transmission mount, and any associated hardware. Thanks and good luc w/ whatever direction you go!

All - thanks for the responses.  There was an individual who was interested in the entire car, but he has declined.  so it will be parted (and yes, parting is such sweet sorrow).  I will be reaching out to all the interested individuals to try to move some of the bits.

I suppose it is impractical to move the cage to another car?
I would like to track/hill-climb mine.
Pic of how the cage is layed out?

I'm in Pittsburgh as well and would be interested in a few things as well as what ever is left when offers stop coming in. PM sent.

Still interested in the parts referenced above, what's the status of your car?

I had been wondering about these parts.
Still very interested in the roll-cage and possibly fuel tanks.

Hello there, I am actually searching for a whole upper column steering. Maybe you have that on hand :).
