    Thanks, I’ll let you take the lead on this , my aluminum rad has been sitting on a shelf waiting for me to get to. I just wanted to get the original setup working to compare the two.
 I wait a bit more so we don’t wipe out their supply.

You should fit a relay to switch power to the fan, it'll be a lot less load on the switch and many can't deliver the current to power the fan like the otter switch can.
