Three twin cam engines FS, Holbay $7k, others are less. NMNA

I am buying the Kent 1600 pushrod engine for a Locost 7 build.

Maybe the TC's are of interest to some of you?
The Holbay TC should make for a lively ride in a Europa.

Not mine and my only interest is the Kent, maybe the 907 if I can find some additional funds.

The link doesn't work for me.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

Try this, https://wichita.craigslist.org/pts/d/arkansas-city-lotus-engines-and-parts/7274954638.html

This may be the answer to complete that Europa that is being sold less engine out of So. California.

Here is the text:

I have been acquiring Twin Cam stuff for a while and I have too much. I have one complete, together Twin Cam and enough to build three more. This is a list of what I have:

Twin Cam, Weber Headed, Holbay motor, 701M casting "L" block, was a good running engine, been sitting for a couple years, would probably touch up the valves and give it a freshen. Complete with Weber DC40s and I have a header as well. $7000

120E block, needs bored to Lotus pistons, comes with almost new rotating assembly with six bolt crank, Stromberg head, cams, not sure which cams are in it, pan, Lotus cam cover, timing chain tensioner, water pump and backing plate. $3500

2731 Cortina GT block, needs bored to Twin Cam pistons, included, Stromberg head that needs a repair, Lotus cam cover, timing chain tensioner, water pump and backing plate covers, oil pan, have Lotus six bolt crank to go with it. $3000

78 Lotus 907 Euro Spec, out of a RHD Elite, with Lotus 5 speed, complete as it came out of the Elite, has the twin 45 DelOrtos. $1200

Also have 711M Crossflow engine, complete out of a Westfield 7, good running motor. $2500

Have other parts to include crossflow Weber intakes, headers, transmissions, etc.

I also have a rust free Cortina MK II with a cage in it already, no title, bill of sale only, has reinforced shock towers, motor mounts for Twin Cam.

I also have several sets of wheels for Cortinas.

I might also entertain selling my Mallock MK18BW race car, if you know what it is, and are looking for one, give me a shout...

That works, thanks.

The Holbay engine is interesting. How does one access the spark plugs? Do the leads route through the hole at the back of the head? And, does the cam cover need removing to pull the plugs? Or am I just missing something?

I have no idea, the seller is Blake and you can get his phone number from the CL link.
Holbay certainly do make a clean looking engine.

Here are a couple of photos of a Holbay installed in a Lotus 7.  I assume those are spark plug wires in the photos.

It looks like there is a center panel that keeps water and dirt out from around the spark plugs.

It has a removable panel in the centre, spark plug access is the same as a standard TC once that cover is removed. You can just see the retaining bolts at either end in the centre.

Ah, I see it now. That makes sense. It would be a right pain, otherwise, especially on a performance engine. When I think of how many times I've pulled the plugs on my TC...
