Felt pretty good about that, then realized that using it for the Europa may be tricky.
Seems to me I will need to fabricate some sort of cradle to pick up strong points on the chassis.
Certainly cannot just lift from the sills and there are no perimeter frame rails. Anyone else dealt with this? Pics of the solution?
This personally is a subject which concerns me but, refer photo, (which is not mine), lifting from the body, irrespective of for jacking purposes, (as described in the manual), or with a 2 post lift, appears to be an acceptable norm.
Considering that the body is attached by just 8 bolts, (correct on the TC?), the total weight of the chassis, engine, transmission, suspension and wheels that would be trying to tear through the glass fibre of the body at these 8 points, makes me....cringe.
Given the choice, (and this is only my personal opinion), I just wouldn't feel comfortable with the practice and would be looking at means of lifting from the chassis, (somehow).
