Hermes - an interview with Kent Shelley
« on: Saturday,January 23, 2021, 03:01:56 AM »
Just bought a limited edition book about S1 Europa's called Type 46, the Europa S1 by Kevin Whittle, Kevin was an S1 owner amongst other Loti, he has recently sold his car as he isn't very well. His S1 came from Canada part restored.
There are several articles on S1's from all over the world & quite a few repeated articles & ads out of old magazines, etc.
There is also a good article / interview with Kent Shelley who worked for Hermes, Renault agents & tuners then Mike the Pipe who was next door, its an old article (?)
Some notes about the 1st 105bhp TC's in relation to the tuned 140bhp Renault unit, of which he took out the TC & installed the lighter Regie.
More photo's to follow shortly.

I bought the first edition of this book which, unfortunately, had quite a few pixilated photos for trying to print from lo-rez files.  How is yours?

My Dad bought and fitted the Hermes kit along with a system off Mike the Pipe - it was stressed to him that Mike didn’t just make exhausts, he was more an artist that worked with pipes....! Whoever said that wasn’t wrong either, a very nicely made bit of kit.
