Hillclimb Europa
« on: Friday,August 23, 2013, 12:58:48 AM »
Hi folks,

Ok, this isn't Ebay or Craigslist, and as it's in the UK I doubt anyone will be seriously interested in this one, but it caught my eye recently mainly on account of the mods that's been done. Personally I wouldn't go this route, but I know many of you guys are into the mod scene, so it might give you a few ideas.....

Wow! That thing looks like a pile of fun. Still retains the Twin Cam mill, too. Cool.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

I think you're right Joe. Hillclimb events here are quite short things, the one just up the road from where we used to live was only about 1/2 mile long and was all over in seconds.  I think you had 3 shots at the hill to get your best time, so you could easily start with a booster battery and run just on the car battery for the event. The Europa is a strange one for hillclimbs though, back when we used to go the top runners were usually Westfields or similar kit cars (Lotus 7 copies)
