New cam gear center on the way.
Sent another email to PA Motorsport regarding their improved outer axles.
Realized I have been winging this build, so began a properly documented build plan.

With a complete car here to trial fit wheels on it has been an educational day.
My wheel choice has been finalized.
And the winner is, Cosmic!

Turns out the CSS "Basketweave" are .625" too deep in offset and will not clear the trailing arm, so I will probably list them on feeBay.
The wheels that came with the car clear the suspension but really sit just bit too far out for my stock bodywork.
I can see where the DPO trimmed the fender lip, and some past rubbing near the top outer edge in front.
They may end up on the Spitfire or GT6.

Not at all unhappy to use the Cosmic's, period correct, they clear the inside and should also have a bit more clearance to the outside, WIN!
Almost as importantly, I have six of them.
So I will have a matching spare, and an extra wheel if I ever damage one.
Looking like 185/60-13 tires.

Car work has taken a brief? hiatus while I make another run at getting a VMC.
But I did get a very pleasant surprise this morning, I have lost 5" from my waist!
So maybe when the S2 is finished I will be able to enter and exit without looking like a complete fool.
Not done dieting yet, may lose another 20 Lb./2".
I said a long time ago that owning a Europa is an exercise plan.
Certainly motivation for one.

Diet must be working!
Today I seated myself in an S2 that is complete with original stock steering wheel that is larger in diameter than mine.
Once I realized that the right leg has to get past the steering wheel before sitting, I had to wonder what all the fuss is about.
Getting out was not difficult either.
Actual work on my car has been sidetracked by the need to finish the red S2, and a mandate to get the Morris Minor completed first.

Picked up my rewelded stainless transfer tubes today.
Not a lot of progress but I will take any I can get.

Began putting the transfer pipes into the chassis.
Left pipe reminds me of some sort of Chinese puzzle!
It is mostly in but would have been more humorous to watch than it was to do.
Right side should be much simpler.

Also made inquiry to TTV Racing to order their light steel flywheel.

Anxious to get my engine assembled but not to have it sitting around.
So not certain how soon I will put it together.

The weather is cooling so I should be spending more time in the shop now.
Too soon it will be winter, and no shop time.

I clearly remember being offered some of the rubber grommets for the transfer tubes since the set I bought sprouted wings and flew away.
But NO luck finding who that was to take them up on the offer!
Time to put them in, and be able to say I have begun reassembly.

I clearly remember being offered some of the rubber grommets for the transfer tubes since the set I bought sprouted wings and flew away.
But NO luck finding who that was to take them up on the offer!
Time to put them in, and be able to say I have begun reassembly.
I think the way the search function works is it searches for the search terms among the chosen posts. For example, you can search the only the garage posts by going to the garage section, putting your search terms in the search box and hitting the search button.

In the same way, you can go to your profile (click on your handle) and there is an option to list all your posts. I think by doing that, you can search only your posts.

I think that’s the way it works (it seems to have behaved that way for me). It’s worth a try anyway.

   Yes BDA, I remember that. I Installed the tubes without the grommets. we listed them afterwards.
 Yes,BDA we do need to upgrade the search feature. WTS I agree with some members that we don't need more T shirts sold here.
 My daughter's work sites focus on merchandise, and all the other clicks to sale features. She also knows how to bypass them.

After cutting the left/upper tube just behind where it exits the Y it nearly went in much easier.
Nearly, so I have decided I will add just a hint of new bend to improve the aliginment with the forward T.
I already have the bender and dies.

After a slight tweak for proper alignment of the upper tube forward end, I was able to install both new transfer tubes today.
So I guess this means reassembly has finally begun.  :)
