I am still trudging along on this … right now I am trying to make my choke and heater cables play nicely together in a very confined area with my shifter cables and shifter. I also have a fuel leak to deal with … it held water but not gas  >:(

I don't have the heater cable, but have a choke cable and wires for heater. I purchased an Edelbrock cable 8013 from o Reillys.
much smoother operation.
   Shifter cables??? Tell me more.

I have the cables, they have to fit amongst the shifter cables etc., made a new bracket to reposition them.
Not installed yet ….

Nice engineering work there. Have you thought about moving the choke and heater alongside the tunnel next to gas pedal on another bracket. Maybe even a oil pressure line

Choke and heater cable modified mount installed (great fun this was!)   And of course the choke cable was too short since I moved the carb …. Soldered an extension too it and made a 3/16” brake line guide for it. Figured I might need the choke to start it   :) pretty sure a custom console is the future!

Now that is a feat in engineering. Amazing work Turbo 👏👏👏.
The modified console would also give you more room to route the main rearward harness. While your in there plan for an alternate oil pressure gauge. Electric to mechanical or just make sure yours works.

I believe I am having ignition switch issues as I am only getting power to one of the fuses with the key on …. Hopefully taking it apart and cleaning it will rectify this …

taking apart an ignition switch is kind of funny. I use a tie wrap to keep mine together!  ;D

I hope it's something simple!

Turbo, a lot of the problems are with the bullet connections, but the entire ignition switch with new keys is available. Check out my link here

I expect it will . . . for at least a week.  :))

It might be me or I might be ham fisted but I've often found these switches don't go back together reliably. It may be because they're not designed to be refurbished. Replacements are quite cheap and I don't want to find a hot switch further down the track.

I’m pretty sure it is but I couldn’t find it in any of the parts cross references.

Is the switch a Triumph part?

I couldn't find a RD listing for it.
I'm not familiar what the TCS switch but suspect it's different from those mounted in the dash like my Type 54 - no column lock on mine.

Is it common to the Federal Elan/Plus2?
The lads over at lotuselan site seem to say it's a Lucas part  #157 SA. (Google that part number for lots of hits.)

https://lotuselan.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=24891&start=

That kinda suggests it originated from a Federal spec. Triumph Spitfire and/or GT6.
