- Routed turbo coolant hoses etc….

Where are the coolant hoses from the turbo connected?

Is there a pump for the coolant?  ....If not, how is flow accomplished?

CW,
It is currently running from the the coolant pipe going to the water pump and into the line going to the surge tank, the turbo center section is mounted at about a 10 degree angle as recommended by the manufacturer to facilitate thermosiphon of the coolant (I re-clocked it.). If this location doesn’t seem to work I added a spacer under the thermostat housing (see pic) that I can tie into. It doesn’t really need the coolant lines if you let it idle a bit before shutdown, but I figure if all it does is thermosiphon when you shut it down that is at least helpful to prevent oil coking of the bearings.

Bean can starter heat shield ….there is a bit of air gap on both sides. I even painted the can with high heat paint.

“Bush’s beats the heat!”  ::)

Added nylon sheet to coolant tubes to prevent parking brake “U” from wearing on them. Much easier to say than do!

:) The”Distraction” is back in Virginia at my son’s place.

Reinstalled “Shifty” which required some fiberglass trimming. Shifted into 4th and jacked up the right side wheel so I can get the engine in the correct timing to drop in the distributor (spins over easily  :) ).

Hot as Hades today ….

Picked up my seats from Grumblebuns at new forum member Robidy’s (thanx Rob for letting them get shipped in your car!). Seats look fantastic compared to mine! They have great tracks attached to them too!

What cars did the seat sensor come in and why? ( California cars  ? )

Robidy is jumping into the Europa world with both feet! I should have taken pictures ….

Both seats fit in the trunk of my wife’s Turbo Malibu …  ???

My car was built in 6/73 and it had seat and door/key buzzers… but no longer! If the wiring diagrams are accurate here (http://lotus-europa.com/manuals/index.htm) you can tell when they were introduced.

How hard could it be  Bolt a seat in the same spot an old seat was?

- Cleaned up the tracks on my “new” seats and lubricated them
- Chased threads for seat belt bolt and frame mount (had to the find the die etc which took a bit)
- Lubricated and fiddled with seat belt buckle until it unlatched repeatedly
- Got the fiddily rear bolts in loosely
- And the last bolt in front is off just like it was 51 years ago because the bobbin is in the wrong spot ... found the old track which has an elongated hole confirming the bobbin is off half a hole … >:(
- Guess I get to take the seat out and a slot a hole …

And it is hotter than Hades in the garage  :-\

Hopefully the passenger seat goes right in

I would think that those bobbins were installed with a jig so it's hard to imagine a way that one could be put in the wrong place! Thankfully, the fix is pretty easy!

A Honeywell 12000btu portable A/C unit I ordered for my garage on Amazon Prime day deals, showed up yesterday. It took my uninsulated 1-1/2 car garage from 86 to 78 in 3 hours this afternoon :)

I think if I start it in the morning before the garage warms up it will be quite comfortable and I will be more productive  8)

Was pleasant in the garage today with a/c :)

“New” seats installed … used luan to replace missing webbing for now … seems comfortable since the luan is thin enough to flex when sitting on it.

Today was the first time I have sat in the car with a seat that moves and with pedals in it 8)

Working on removing a forgotten piece of stuck door hinge … >:(

Turbo, Your engine looks amazing. PERIOD, PERIOD.
What's going on with your RT door, Stuck pieces, or Critters?  :FUNNY:
That's why I went with the stainless pins, and I just adjusted them today after opening the door 6,000 times. I added the seals and that's why I'm going in again.
As far as seats tracks go, set them as far back as possible.
Keep going, your all most there.
