I appreciate the offer, Kram.

I’m anxious to see how your car is coming!

  Turbo,
Vents, I just left mine all black.

Dakazman

Did the same with 693R.  Used 2000 grit to polish the plastic, no one ever noticed, and it looked fine.  Probably would have lost a couple points at a LOG, but since I don't do LOGs it was never an issue.

:beerchug:

It's screwed into the back of the dash about 1/2 way between the steering column and the headlight switch. You may want to screw it in after you get the dash installed or till you're sure it's in a good place.

Eyeball vent fun …. Inner part of vent stands proud of the body so … hole to the rescue ???

I tried the lathe Kram but the  chuck was too small and I had to grab the metal part and it doesn’t run true with the eyeball.

It does seem like you're not in any hurry to drive that car.   :)

I might have had my vents apart when I did ? There is always fineline tape to mask and then brush. OCD is what makes the difference between the great and the also runs!

Well....favorite saying: "Don't let the perfect become the enemy of the good".  Maybe I should follow that more often...but, sometimes the journey becomes more important than the destination.

I can understand.
I'd really like to perfect... er.... improve my car.  But the driving gets in the way.   :)

I worry for you that with the turbo and all, you might have some things to sort out before you can really use it.

Hopefully with the AFR wideband gauge, programmable ignition and programmable water/methanol injection it won’t take too long!

Take as long as you want.
Mods take time and you want to have it as perfect as possible is understandable.
Keep moving forward, jump around with items so you don’t stall out the build.
