Transaxle sump/fill plugs

Are the transaxle sump and fill plugs interchangeable?

Yes.

Also you can get 8 pt. sockets for those plugs (I believe they are 11mm).

The drain plug head is pretty rounded but the fill plug is fine. I’m going to swap them over. Thanks again for the help.

You can weld/braze a nut to a rounded plug and you're back in business.

The drain plug has a magnet attached.

Thanks chaps!

The sump plug does have an indent in the end but no magnet. Perhaps it’s still in the transaxle! The square nut is 10mm. The fill plug on the other hand is 11mm and has 3/8 stamped on the inner end.
