I know that's going to be a great time for all three of you: You, your brother, and his Lotus!

Bon voyage Lou, post pics and make us northern yanks jealous, we still have a lot of snow to melt.

Driving a Lotus in Italy... must drive the Ferrari folks nuts. I could see myself doing the same thing. Have fun and safe travels.

Paying homage...a road trip to the hometown of nine time World Moto GP champion Valentino Rossi...

So revered by the population that the speed limit in town is officially "46" kph...

Jim...Thank you, and to all the gang (Certified,Bainford,Surf,Dakazman,Ropaguy) from the bottom of my heart, your kind words of appreciation go a long way. As a fellow Europa owners we all know that the effort to keep these wonderful machines roadworthy are both a passion and frustration at times, and compliments are the ultimate payback.

My brother Vic and I have come a long way together, and are blessed to have shared the same dreams...

Lou, you and your brother should be proud of how you've restored your cars. We all try to do a clean, elegant recreation of Lotus's vision and some of us are very successful at that and you and your brother were very successful. The rest of us just have to be live with the limits of our abilities. You and your brother should and deserve to be proud proud of what you've done!

I’m smiling Lou, great that you get to not only visit family but also share in your passion for Lotus Europa’s! Life is good!

Now if I can just get my car back together so I can actually be part of the road driving gang :pirate:

Valentino Rossi was our collaborator/benchmark/“competition” on the Motobot project. https://youtu.be/BjZPvXKewFk

By all accounts a super nice guy! Glad to hear he is appreciated in his home town.

Glen...(aka Certified) I was planning your garage tour today, but unfortunately got delayed on a connecting flight. I really wanted one of those exclusive t shirts...Hope everyone had a good time!

Post some pictures if you can...I will check the Pals site for updates.

My visit was too short, but the good news is I will be returning in late July for a longer stay...
Some parting shots and of our route planning for the next adventures on the blacktop...

ps...Found one of the garage Glen...what a fantastic shop, with plenty of space, and lots of special toys to get you cars in shape. I will have to make a special visit if your receptive. ld

You have great times to look forward to, Lou! I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I'm envious of your Italian trips. Please bring back lots of pictures and post them! or post them while you're in Italy...

Be well, and stay healthy, seems my older brother Dan has just purchased a condo in Raleigh to be close to his sons newborn...It's strange to call him Grandpa now!
