Start them young!

This respectful lad is showing the proper posture while investigating the details of 3522R. The feedback from on-lookers at last week's classic car gathering was impressive. By all accounts, Vic spent patient hours discussing and showing his Europa to the masses...."Best in Show"

Another sojourn back to the old homestead is in the book of memories. I'll keep this one short, as jet lag has done me in, I promise a full and complete report once I get some sack time.

Here's a taste of things to come...Morning capuccino & evening expresso!

A couple of items & upgrades that have been installed on 3522r, since I had driven her on my last visit.

Vic has installed two small cooling fans to supply additional fresh air to the eyeball vents, they are neatly tucked into the front bulkhead...they were sourced via a local hardware / computer shop.

The second modification has to deal with those often less reliable otter switches. A coolant temperature sensitive fan assist activation splice with relay that installs directly into the cooling circuit.

The system can be wired in either configuration...to run all the time the ignition is switched on, or to engage at a prescribed setting. # EFC 32....and can be found thru...www.revotec.com

What better way to start another trip overseas?

Yep, you guessed it...give Vic a helping hand to re glue a sagging headliner. Our efforts had the job completed in a few hours, and with a few more in curing time we were ready for my first cruise.

A familiar stop to the Furlo gap and into the Apennines along twisty mountain roads was the perfect start to stretch the Europa's legs. The plan again was to stay away from the busy highways and concentrate on those roads less traveled.

Heads turned frequently in curiosity and admiration of this little plastic noisemaker, and
the occasional stop for coffee or petrol always attracted a crowd. At one point, we were forced to pull over as a grammar school was letting out. The youngsters were all smiles and fascinated as we spent a few minutes chatting and taking the required selfies.

Day trips included a beach run along the Adriatic coast and a mountain jaunt to the hills of Sassoferrato just west of Ancona. Alas, the Ferrari's came up short at Monza and the auto jumble at Imola didn't produce the Ducati part we were looking for...so I ended up adding another four 1/43 scale Lotus F1 cars to my collection.

Another great trip, highlighted by my niece's wedding at a vineyard in Urbino with family and friends!

Lovely!  :beerchug:
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.
