Need Finned Transaxle Bearing Adjustment Nut
« on: Thursday,January 16, 2020, 06:11:38 PM »
I was pressing out the transaxle seal in the finned bearing adjustment nut, and despite pressing into a right-sized hole drilled in a block of wood, I cracked the nut. D'oh!

I see that the part (Lotus part # A074f6045Z, Renault part # 7700554257) appears to be available from several overseas Renault houses for about 30 Euros. Anyone on this side of the pond have one or know if RD or Bean stocks them?

Also, in the photos of places who sell them, I see that there appear to be two kinds--one with the raised fins like mine, and one where the slots appear to be more flush. Some of the latter use the same 7700554257, at least in the ad. ARE these actually the same size and thread, and does the RD finned tool (which I own) work on them?

Thanks.
