   :FUNNY:
It’s not difficult to go through the steps. Time to prep the part to a smooth , pit free surface is labor intensive. I probably could have purchased the rocker cover bolts , that were vice gripped to death, but instead filed, and sanded out to 400 grit . As a test , I was happy with results.
The copper bath was not so durable. Buffed off the finish, but as a prep for additional plating, it would definitely work.
The zinc anodes that I purchased were not pure and dissolved quickly. A test of the plating worked however to dull for my taste. Much happier with the nickel , for the same prep.

Brilliant job on the clutch stuff, Dave.

I presume that's nickel? I wonder how nickel would hold up when exposed to the elements externally - or perhaps that's an area best left to zinc.
The YouTube vid makes it look quite doable, too.

   Yes ,Nickel .

Certified mentioned he used this process on his Elan build . It must have lasted or he would’ve played his bolts . I don’t know but the worse that could happen is it goes back to looking like it did before.
Time will tell .
