Kelvedon does supply the oddie plates but they are having trouble with the tooling.  It needs a bit of tweaking.  Will report back when they eventually arrive.

They have also offered a set of used oddie pins.  I’ll measure them up and see if I can source exact replacements.

I calculated the dimensions at the rear of my car with:
- diameter of 9.5 mm
- free length without the head of approximately 52.5 mm

I orderer some of the BSA motorcycles pins ones to see if I can modify them.

Here some pictures that I've taken at Spa of the 47 wearing the original pins.

They are spec-ed in imperial.  So, a 3/8” pin 1 1/8” long.

I made aluminium copies of my original steel ones. I chose to use locks in place of the original fasteners (which I didn't have), just to be able to leave the car unattended for a bit.

There is a video on youtube on how I made the plates.

I finally got a solution for the missing Oddie fasteners. There is dutch company that still has some stock of the old wing style fastneres although they don't have the right length.

I bought a bunch of them and I could modify them to use them at the front bonnet and at the rear lid. I splitted the fasteners and tapped a thread on both ends (6mm). A threaded tube is used to lengthen the fastener. Fine adjustment is done by washers. Some rubber hose keeps the fastener in place when not locked.

I add some pictures below. Actually the front fasteners need to have a key operated lock. I bougth a lock fastenber from the same company and tried to modify it. Although it somehow worked out the key and the lock was too small and weak to operate the bigger Europa fastener. So I'm using the wing style fasteners at the front too.

What does the part the pin goes into look like? Just curious how they lock in place.
The more I do the more I find I need to do....remember your ABC’s …anything but chinesium!

Apologies if I’m misunderstanding how these operate - but how do these lock in place?
(is there a feature that prevents them from releasing once the vehicle is on the move?)

To lock it you just push the pin into the holding clip (push-to-lock). The feel of the locking action is quite positive and holds the hood securely in place. To release you turn the fastener a quarter turn and there is a kind of eject thrust that pushes the pin out of the clip.

Hi Klaus, I think I will go with your solution as this is by far the cheapest. Actually I was in contact with the original company, but they will need to fabricate both the locking and the wing type stud. The costs for four studs would be ten times of the costs you had with your ten studs at your dutch supplier.

I am currently sourcing all the parts needed, but unfortunately I just have two of the parts where the pin goes into and which are seemingly bolted to the lid and bonnet shown on your pictures (below). I cannot find a source for them. Can someone help with this question? Are these part of the original configuration?
