Interior fuse box location TC

I didn't take enough pictures when I disassembled my car.  Just confirming this is the proper location of the interior fuse box (behind the flap on the center console)

That’s where it goes.  Stupid, because you have to remove the center console to change a fuse, but that’s where it belongs.  If you don't attach it to anything and let it hang, you may be able to fish it out from behind the center console flap.  I screwed mine to the center tunnel fiberglass.

There should be a vertical metal bar attached to the fibreglass tunnel, RHS with two holes in it.

Two self tapping screws hold the fuse box to two  black clips which engage the self tapping screws.

This is what the fuse box looks like attached. I don't recall if it ever came with a cover.

corner "flap" of console easily bends up to expose fuse panel.   no need to remove console.

My fuse box had a cover.

Speaking of fuses, I remember reading somewhere to use British fuses. I think it has something to do with how or when they blow. I'll see if I can find it.

Mine appears to be forward of the flap and has a cover. Still don't know what that toggle switch in the upper middle of the picture does. Can confirm it is NOT an ejector seat.

Maybe there are machine guns behind your turn signals or oil tank in the back for people following you!

White wires.
Maybe a secret anti-theft switch that disables the coil?

Always use the correct wire colours (and stripe colour) when working on your harness.  It makes future troubleshooting so much easier.

Never assume the PO did so.  In fact, you can pretty much count on the fact they won't have.

My bet is it is a switched earth to turn the radiator fan on.

I had an Alfa Spyder once that shot out an oil slick. Not on purpose though.

It is not a cooling fan override or a kill switch. I have a mystery shutoff valve on the right fuel tank, my best guess is it was once connected to that, but isn’t any more.

Where does one get Lucas color coded wire? Ace Hardware doesn’t carry Brown with Pink Tracer wire.
