1974 TCS for sale

It is verified as running and driving. The interior looks decent and the current bid is at $4,050

Not a lot of information or pictures but it looks like it would make a good driver and project car.

Built May/June 1973, so hardly a 1974 car.

In need of painting which reduces the value substantially.

I think the dealers were a little loose with determination of model year. Mine was built in June '73 and sold to me as a '74.

The car seems quite complete, albeit neglected. It's been painted in the distant past and those pinstripes look like as though (somewhat) inspired by the originals. Interesting mod to increase the depth of the boot tub. I wonder if there was a specific purpose for that?

Yup, same here. I know my car was bought new in January 74, and therefore titled as a 74. It was built in June 73.

Maybe they saw "Type 74" and used that for reference.

My guess for the cutout of the tub in the boot.  This Europa made some prosperous trips to Miami and back in the '70s LOL  It's just deep enough to hold about 10 kilos of something

False floors in each fuel tank, about 4" from the bottom, should be a lot easier, and the smell of petrol should put the dogs off.

There was a European rallycross team that were putting mind altering substances in the tyres as they drove around Europe many years ago.

Doubt that is the original mileage. I am sure I am not the only one with speedometer cables that lead a short and exciting life.

Now you go me thinking!  The evaporator tank would could hold a fair amount of something.  Everybody disconnected it anyway.  Wonder if all that emission stuff was just a ruse.  Run your engine rich and the fumes would throw off the dogs also.  Being born and raised in South Florida has twisted me LOL  Like the rally car method... it is nice to hear what went down on the other side of the pond.

There were two. The full width one behind the seats, and the small one below the battery.

I think one was an oil fume catch tank (the full width one) and the small one below the battery was for petrol fumes connected to both filler caps.

The full width tank mounted high, ahead of the cam cover is a fuel tank overflow reservoir. The smaller one by the battery is a charcoal canister (at least on Federal cars) to deal with fuel fumes from the tanks, the over flow reservoir, and perhaps the carb vents too, though I'd have to double check on the carb vents.

This same car is now also being listed on ebay with a better description.  Seller claims it is one owner car.  The bid is currently at $7600 on Copart with a buy it now at $12,500 or best offer.

it appears original color was yellow as you can see that under the flaked off paint.
