Anybody remember Alex Zanardi?

I thought some of you would be interested in what Alex Zanardi, who lost both of his legs in a horrific racing accident in 2001, is doing this weekend.

I was thinking about going to the event tomorrow but there will be heavy rain forecasted beginning at 6am with temp at 60•F . Lasting all day. Not much idea of a good time. I live only an hour away .

Europaguy, he really is!

Dman, too bad the weather isn't cooperating. Hopefully it will be a safe race!

BDA and 70 ,
This is the first time in several years that I haven’t been in Daytona During the races but unfortunately across the street at the airport making sure my aircraft get out . The sounds of the cars beyond words. Today 56 ,rainy and windy.🥶, so it’s still on my bucket list to be at a race. Prices were 135.00 for two day event with access to the garage. Kids under 12 free. Parking is another story all together. The rebuild on the stadium is beautiful.

Sounds great. I may have to add it to my list too!

On another subject, I've been to the Amelia Island Concours and really enjoyed it!

Thanks for the link. It's an interesting read. I was thinking about Zenardi a couple of months ago, wondering what he was up to these days. It's good to see he is enthusiastic and still at it.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

My daughter was a big fan of Zanardi too and put together a video that included some video of him diving off a boat. I went to find that but found this video of some of what it was like to drive at Daytona. I thought it was really interesting.

I've done a little work in the field of adaptive engineering for the disabled, and this video is total engineering porn. Bravo BMW and Signore Zanardi!
