I'm a little premature with my question while I'm still looking into my vehicle symptoms, but this is the internet.......
Had my first full noise outing with my rebuilt crossflow S2 and in general all very positive.
The rebuild is a '160HP Alpine spec' build in most respects.
The fuel delivery is straightforward, Facet pump (I'll work out the rating once I get the number off it), filter and 2x 45mm Webers.
Previously this has been adequate and the car was competitive in sprints and hillclimbs with several course records, now it's noticeably stronger up top.....
But it's also now running out off fuel on wide open throttle after about 8-10secs or so of full noise in the 100-120+kph range and high load.
So I'm going through the basics of checking the filter, confirming the pump rating and measuring the actual fuel pressure (which I'm assuming needs to be 3.5-4lbs on Webers).
In the meantime, what sort of fuel flow rating have others used with success (or lack of success as that also helps me)?
