CL:
Well, now that I know what you look like (I think I got a straight-on look at your face behind all those awards in your arms when you stood... and the model... OMG. That and the guessing game were the only exhibits I spent time with... kudos).
We’ll be able to start the weekend unintroduced in the future. I’m sorry I wasn’t at the car when you were, but the sheer number of catagories and Loti to be seen and voted on was overwhelming. The remote trailer parking location and the requirement of pushing the car across the field cut into my time as well. If it weren’t for Brian, I’d still be struggling to get the thing onto the trailer.
All the “official” photos (I’ll take partial responsibility for that by telling, not requesting the photographer to shoot all the first timers... what a mob!) ate up a lot of time as well. I was disappointed there wasn’t another entire concourse day.
I hope you saw my hastily written and printed card that outlined my logic and reason for making the car.
I‘ve been working on the electrics but only able to wire up 3 “bling” components. The engine light, the angel eyes and my single DIN iPod gps/speedometer/internet/music contraption. The lights were difficult to see and I eventually turned and left the iPod on, but if you weren’t looking for it, chances are you wouldn’t have noticed.
btw, we live 20 miles off 95 between the NE and Savannah, just north of Hilton Head. The next time you come this way, pm me and possibly we could get together.
